THE Masked Singer’s Otter has been ‘revealed’ as Bake Off star by ‘giveaway’ guinea pig clue.
Fans of the ITV show think that the cute character is Mel Giedroyc, 56.
On Saturday night’s episode Otter gave an incredible performance of Dolly Parton‘s 9 to 5.
The panel – consisting of Mo Gilligan, Davina McCall, Rita Ora and Jonathan Ross – put forward a selection of guesses including Zoe Wanamaker, 73, Miranda Hart, 50, Catherine Tate, 53, and Fiona Shaw, 63.
However viewers think that it could be former Bake Off presenter Mel.
The character has a backing dancer that’s a guinea pig – and Mel has owned an award-winning guinea pig.
Many took to Twitter to share their theory.
One said: “Beaver is Mel G from Bake Off.”
Another wrote: “all I’ve got for [otter] is that it’s someone who can’t see in that outfit so played to the wrong camera the whole time #MaskedSingerUK that is a youngish person or at least someone with a young spirit. Mel G might be a good shout!”
A third chimed in: “It’s Mel G #maskedsingeruk #themaskedsingeruk.”
“Clues for Mel G as Otter. Strange hamster/guinea pig showing up… She shows guinea pigs (as an adult), she talked about her Exotic Sandwich task from TaskMaster… It’s gotta be, ” fourth added.
It comes after others put forward the idea that a Love Island star is behind Otter.
It seems fans have finally cracked it to be 2017 star Amber Davies.
The reason behind it comes from a “tell-tale” sign that Otter performed Dolly Parton‘s classic hit 9 to 5 – the same musical Amber starred in on the West End.
Meanwhile others think that Otter is EastEnders legend Josie Lawrence.
The actress played Amanda Best in the soap, who famously had a fling with much-loved Minty [Cliff Parisi].
Not only do viewers think the voice is undeniably Josie’s, but they’ve also matched up the character’s clues with various elements of her career.
However, others have come to the conclusion it could be Daisy May Cooper.
