The presenting duo quizzed Michelle, 54, on whether she could be behind the sea creature.

Despite keeping a good poker face, the former Strictly star teased fans with a cryptic comment.

“There are always rumours and that’s the fun about shows like The Masked Singer,” she said coyly.

Refusing to confirm or deny, she added: “If I told you, I’d ruin it.

After Jellyfish’s first performance to Guns N Roses track Sweet Child O’ Mine, fans were blown away by the character’s belting voice, which included a long-held note at the end that left the judges with their head in their hands in awe.

Clues for Jellyfish listed that she was “all about love” and hinted at having “unexpectedly won” something before.

Her riddle read: “Give me good vibes only, that’s a great salutation. Let’s love and not hate, like a funny animation.”

The Masked Singer, which returned to screens over the weekend for a new series, has welcomed 12 new celebs.

But other fans of the show think they have already worked out one of the identities under the elaborate masks.

Many have taken to social media to speculate that new character Jellyfish is actually a star from TV show Glee.

Viewers think a number of clues point towards the star being Amber Riley, who played Mercedes Jones on the Fox series.

It would mark the second Masked Singer competition for Amber, 36, who took home the trophy in the US last year.

Amber has since appeared in Dreamgirls in London’s West End, as well as competing on Dancing With The Stars in America.

Taking to Twitter, one fan wrote: “Jellyfish sounds a hell of a lot like Amber Riley but as she already won the US version would they use her over here?”

“Amber Riley is Jellyfish,” a second said, while a third added: “Amber Riley being in London when Masked Singer was filmed… Is she really back to win another season?”

“I’m watching on +1 but OBVIOUSLY JELLYFISH IS AMBER RILEY. THATS IT,” a fourth agreed, while a fifth concluded: “Jellyfish sounds just like Amber Riley.”

Jellyfish revealed a number of clues and hints to aid those guessing in the first episode over the Bank Holiday weekend.

The star also noted that “what you see is what you get”, as they teased they also “create their own light”.

Some have suggested singer Michelle McManus, whilst others are convinced Jellyfish is actress Jodie Prenger.

While some reckon the elaborate Jellyfish persona is singer Paloma Faith.

However, the judges have other stars in mind, guessing Alexandra Burke as she won The X Factor in 2008.

While Jonathan Ross guessed TV star Michelle Keegan, Davina McCall opted for US star Michelle Visage.
