OTI Mabuse sent out an empowering message to Ekin-Su to still ‘be sexy’ after wowing the audience as a ‘nun’ last night after fierce Dancing on Ice backlash.
The Love Island winner, 28, transformed into singing nun Maria von Trapp from the 1965 musical The Sound of Music.
Ekin-Su’s first dance in week one was shrouded in controversy after her see-through catsuit prompted 112 complaints to Ofcom.
Last night she did a complete u-turn and transformed into a nun.
The former Strictly legend Oti said: “I want you to remember to stay true to yourself. You’re such a beautiful young girl. It’s not a bad thing to be sexy.”
She added: “Remember that. It’s not a bad thing to be sexy.It is the power that we as women have.”
Oti gushed: “You should be really proud of yourself. When you stared on the rock I was like ‘look at her’. Keep pushing yourself.”
Oti’s comments came after the Love Island winner went from Britney Spears in a racy outfit during week one – to being a nun.
Ekin-Su’s first dance led to a huge number of complaints to Ofcom as fans noted the catsuit was “too sexy” to be worn before the watershed.
One viewer wrote online: “Totally inappropriate outfit. It’s a family show.”
Someone else said: “That’s a post-watershed outfit.”
And a third added: “I’m no prude but I was panicking we were going to see what she had for breakfast there with that outfit.”
Her fans were quick to rush to Ekin’s defence, with one adding: “What did you want her to wear? A Sunday dress?”
The one-piece was intended to be a copy of that worn by Britney Spears in the music video for Toxic – the song that Ekin-Su danced to.
