FANS are fuming as two of Saturday night’s biggest shows are set to clash and the outcome will last for weeks.

Strictly Come Dancing is returning to screen on September 17 and is set to go up against ITV’s flagship show The Masked Dancer.

Fans have been left furious over the clash
Strictly is back for a brand new series but viewers will be left deciding what to watch.

BBC One hit Strictly will air from 6:10pm through to 8:00pm putting it in direct competition with the family favourite ITV guessing game which airs 6:30pm to 8:00pm.

This year’s Strictly features a whole host of stars including TV presenter Helen Skelton, ex-Corrie star Kym Marsh and popstar Fleur East.

The chaotic decision has left fans raging and many were quick to comment on the controversial clash on Twitter.

One disgruntled fan commented on the news saying: “Shame – audience loses out!!!!”

One fan pleaded: “Very silly decision from @itv my granddaughter loves masked dancer and we watch but I prefer strictly and the majority of us do too and will be watching strictly, put @MaskedSingerUK on a Sunday before strictly results instead please #MaskedDancerUK #strictly”

It comes following the news that not only will Strictly face competition from the Joel Dommett presented dancing game show, it will also clash with this year’s coverage of the World Cup.

While the BBC and ITV have decided which games they will air until the end of November, the start of December is undecided.

There are currently two knock-out games scheduled on Saturday, December 3 at 7pm, and Saturday, December 10 at 7pm – which could both clash with future Strictly episodes.

Despite planning to end the series in December, the BBC is only offering tickets to the live show up until Saturday, November 26 amid uncertainty over its later schedulling.

Despite the impending clash, The Masked Dancer fans were left stunned when Hollywood superstar Jesse Metcalfe was unveiled as the first star.
