ITV has reached a deal with production company Bandicoot and contract talks are in the early stages.

The show, which was conceived in South Korea, regularly draws in six million viewers. Its popularity prompted the BBC to shift The Greatest Dancer to an earlier slot to avoid a clash.

A source said: Producers loved the chemistry between the talent. They want to recreate it on the next series and are planning to secure them with new contracts.

The feeling is reciprocated by the judges, who are all delighted and pleasantly surprised by the positive reception from viewers. They are already starting to think about unlikely singers they can unearth to perform in the spectacular costumes.

Host Joel Dommett has also been asked to return for the second series of The Masked Singer

Meanwhile, Joel has revealed he got a ticking off from ITV bosses for copying X Factor host Dermot OLeary’s trademark spin entrance.

During a stand-up gig in London, Joel said: Theres a moment where youre standing there and youre like, I need to do something…fill this gap. So I just span and went, Welcome to The Masked Singer!

The whole thing goes really well, then a producer in my ear goes, Joel, Im sorry to interrupt but were going to have to do that again because the spin is Dermots thing.

They do say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery…

Tasty deal for Gemma and Stormzy

GEMMA Collins might rub some people up the wrong way, but shes clearly made some friends over at Deliveroo.

The former Towie star has revealed she is one of just two famous faces to grab a card that gets her unlimited takeaways, whenever she wants.

Talking on the Big Narstie Show, she said: Only me and Stormzy have a platinum Deliveroo card. I couldnt believe it.

In the show, which airs on Friday, Narsties co-host Mo Gilligan then challenges the GC to see if she can get food in for the watching crowd.

She said: Honey, Im well ahead of your game. Ive already pre-ordered for the audience. I aint called The GC for nothing.

Im told that the food did indeed arrive before the end of the show.

I had a Nandos black card for three years and it was not good for my waistline.

This would be a death sentence I reckon.

It’s heist stakes in cash run

THE Heist is returning to Sky1 for a new run.

Nine law-abiding citizens must carry out a 1million robbery then hide the loot for three weeks. Last time, two punters took home their share of 250,000 after evading capture.

The Heist will be returning for another series on Sky1

But former Met detective Sue Hill, who is in charge of the cops chasing the crooks, reckons the outcome will be very different this time.

She warned: I wont be trusting any nice little old ladies who lie through their teeth to assist the thieves.

Her deputy Ray Howard, who used to work in intelligence for Thames Valley Police, said they had new equipment to find the split swag, lifted from a bank in Alnwick, Northumberland.

He said: We need to make sure we use technology to find any money quickly and put people out of the game.
