The 32-year-old released her debut album Cinderella’s Eyes accompanied by the single Beat of My Drum. While both were critically acclaimed, they failed to chart well.

The songwriter has also written 4 songs for Cheryl’s fourth album, Only Human, and contributed several hits for two Little Mix records, their eponymous debut and Salute.

Her net worth is an estimated $13m which was mostly earned from the success of Girls Aloud.

Girls Aloud’s debut single Sound of the Underground topped the charts on their way to 20 consecutive top ten singles and two number one albums.

The group took a break for the members to embark upon solo careers in 2009 but they reformed briefly for a tour to celebrate their ten-year anniversary in 2012.

Girls Aloud became the UK’s biggest-selling girlgroup of the 21st century

What TV shows has she been in?

In 2012, singer Rihanna chose Nicola to co-host fashion competition Styled To Rock for Sky Living HD.

The show, which ran for one season, challenged contestants to create outfits for celebrities.

Roberts discussed the show at the time, she said: “I am so excited to be working with Rihanna on finding a new British up and coming designer.

I was so flattered when she asked me to work with her on this show. I’m so excited for us to get started on finding a new up and coming British designer who just needs a chance, a little bit of help in getting their skills noticed.”

In 2020, Roberts then participated in the ITV series The Masked Singer where she was crowned the winner.

The audience voted for Queen Bee to win the competition, with Hedgehog – unmasked as Jason Manford – coming in second.

The judges all gave a guess, with Jonathan Ross saying Nadine Coyle from Girls Aloud, while Rita Ora said Nicola Roberts.

Davina McCall added Kimberly Walsh – and Ken completed the guesses with Cheryl Cole.

Nicola said after winning: “Literally last time I sang like this must’ve been Popstars: The Rivals. And when I found out [Davina] would be on the panel, I said yes!”

Is Nicola Roberts married and does she have children?

Nicola Roberts is not married and does not have any children.

In March 2018, Nicola’s former boyfriend Carl Davies was banned from looking at her Instagram account ‘after chilling threats to stab and burn her’.

Carl, who dated the Girls Aloud star for 18 months before splitting in 2008, breached a lifelong restraining order issued last year for sending threats using fake social media accounts.

He was finally reported to the police when he began messaging Nicola’s friend, R&B singer Joel Compass and was then handed a 15-month prison sentence, suspended for two years.

In July, 2018 Nicola spoke out about her ordeal saying, “You are too scared to take the dogs out for a walk because when someone plants vicious seeds you just imagine every possible outcome.”

“This is a relationship which ended 10 years ago. I should be able to move on from an unhealthy relationship if I want to and that has not been able to happen for me.”

She said “They had ‘concluded that the decision to offer no evidence in this case was wrong” and were “satisfied there was a realistic prospect of convicting Carl Davies for breaching the restraining order”.
