HAYLEY Hasselhoff is adamant The X Factor: Celebrity marks a “rebirth” for her singing career, despite not reaching the live shows and being slammed by Simon Cowell.

The plus-sized model and TV presenter, 27, was dealt another cutting judge by fellow judge Louis Walsh on Saturday, when he told her she would not be progressing to the next stage.

Hayley Hasselhoff claimed The X Factor: Celebrity has sparked a ‘rebirth’ in her music career

However, completely undeterred, a bubbly Hayley appeared on Monday’s Lorraine to lay out her new career plans.

After stand-in host Christine Lampard admitted it was awkward and “stressful” to watch her being shunned by Louis, Hayley confessed: “You know what, the new format is so much fun.

“Everyone was so amazing to work with.

“It was kind of a rebirth to my music career.

“It gave me confidence again and I got to work on my voice as an adult.

“I have got a long way to go but I am really excited to see where I am going with this.”

Baywatch star David Hasselhoff’s daughter told how she had not sung publicly for nine years, and the “chitter chatter” by judges before her song, a version of Someone You Loved by Lewis Capaldi, had left her nervous.

Yet she insisted she saw the judges as “people first, judges second” despite their less than glowing feedback.

She added to Christine: “I’m excited.

“It has opened up a whole new journey for me.

“I am sad The X Factor is over but it’s the beginning of my music journey.”

During her performance aired in earlier episodes,Simon let rip with his thoughts on her singing.

I think I would have translated that version as if it was in a musical, it was halfway between trying to sound like a record and something different, he said.

Meanwhile, diplomatic Nicole said: I love your presence, it’s a like a very strong, almost unapologetic presence when you sing so I love that confidence about you.

The critique shattered her confidence and she had clearly been crying after the performance as she took her seat to watch The Vixen perform.

Meanwhile, Hayley and sister Taylor’s band, Bella Vida made their G.A.Y debut in London on August 20, 2019.

In 2004, the Hasselhoff sisters sang on a couple of songs on their dad’s Christmas album, The Night Before Christmas.
