Love Island quartet Zara McDermott, Samira Mighty, Wes Nelson and Eyal Booker are all smiles beside duo Max and Harvey.

After introductions around the bar and pool, it’s down to business as the hopefuls do their best to impress judges Nicole Scherzinger, Louis Walsh and Simon.

The trio were joined by a star-studded audience made up of industry heavyweights such as Randy Jackson and David Foster.

Each of the acts might be relatively new to the singing stage, but that doesn’t stop them from looking comfortable.

Yesterday Louis Walsh teased the X Factor: Celebrity categories ahead of Saturday’s launch show and tipped Megan McKenna to win.

While viewers will have to wait until the weekend to find out which judge gets which category, Louis has let slip he’s got “two boys and two girls”.

He told The Sun Online: “I have two boys and two girls … I think the groups are the strongest. They are really good.”

Although his comments don’t confirm exactly which category he has, Louis did make his opinion on former Towie star Megan McKenna’s participation in the show.

He said: “Megan McKenna will surprise a lot of people though.

“I was down in Essex for the first time ever this week. She is everything I thought she wasn’t.

“She takes it very seriously and works hard.”

Louis has certainly made his mark on returning to the show, having reignited his feud with former judge Cheryl Tweedy.

The 67-year-old was asked if he was surprised she hadn’t been snapped up as a judge.

Louis, who first sat on the judging panel with Cheryl in 2008, sniped: “You mean as a contestant? She would be good. She could even win it.”

And when asked if Chezza would have to mime to win it, Louis added: “Cheryl doesn’t mime”.

Before he winked and said: “It is called lip-syncing.”
