SHOUTY Piers Morgan threatened to fire Good Morning Britain’s sound crew after he was silenced on air.

Piers Morgan’s mic stopped working on Good Morning Britain
He tried to shout louder before backstage crew came out to save the day

He interrupted his interview with Jenny Ryan who was talking about her experience on The X Factor: Celebrity.

Getting out of his chair while someone backstage swapped his broken mic, Piers said: “Apparently I’ve been turned off. Let me shout a little louder then!
“I’ll put the mic guys out of a job…
“The nation needs to hear me, this is actually an emergency.”

Jenny Ryan found it amusing

After everything had been sorted out, Piers said: “Nation, you can breathe again.”

Yesterday Piers was forced to deny he’s splitting from his co-host Susanna Reid.

There’s been speculation their on-screen partnership will end afterHOAR revealed Piers’ contract is up for renewalat the end of the year.

Piers, 54, and Susanna, 48, appeared on the cover of Woman’s Own magazine this week, which claimed that “it’s over” between the pair.

Piers joked he couldn’t confirm or deny if there was a simmering war between the hosts, as Susanna Reid said ‘I hate you’

The article claimed “Susanna’s had enough” and Piers had angered GMB bosses for “criticising the Duchess of Sussex”.

And Piers pretended to be furious with the GMB team, as he ranted on Monday morning: “What is fascinating is despite the revelation, the question becomes, who leaked this?”

he joked that he couldn’t “confirm or deny” if there was a simmering war between them, as Susanna cheekily added: “I hate you.”
