LOUIS Walsh has reignited his long-running feud with Cheryl Tweedy and said she could win X Factor: Celebrity – if she mimed.
What’s more, her former manager laughed off claims that the Girls Aloud singer could have been a judge on Simon Cowell’s latest series.
Famous faces from shows including Love Island, The Chase and EastEnders will battle it out in a bid to win the hit ITV show.
However, Louis, 67, turned on Cheryl when asked if he was surprised that she hadn’t been snapped up as a judge.
Louis, who first sat on the judging panel with Cheryl in 2008, sniped: “You mean as a contestant? She would be good. She could even win it.”
And when asked if Chezza would have to mime to win it, Louis added: “Cheryl doesn’t mime”.
Before he winked and said: “It is called lip-syncing.”
Louis last appeared as a judge on the X Factor with pal Simon in 2017, having replaced axed judge Nick Grimshaw the year before.
Then in 2018, he decided to step down and Louis Tomlinson had a shot at the role.
That year, Cheryl was tipped to return, but she was snubbed in favour of husband and wife duo Robbie Williams and Ayda Field – which Louis insisted it was a huge mistake.
He told us: “I thought HE was a brilliant booking, but then he went and brought his wife on the show. You don’t bring your wife to work.
“He is a brilliant character and judge and with Simon it should have been amazing. It should have been the best panel ever but it just didn’t work.
“There was no X Factor. Nicole (Scherzinger) or Sharon (Osbourne) would have been better.”
It seems that Simon agreed with the Irish music boss, as he’s invited Nicole Scherzinger back for X Factor: Celebrity.
Meanwhile, Cheryl didn’t get the call this year buts she appeared as a coach on The Greatest Dancer back in August.
Cheryl and Louis have endured a strained relationship for over a decade, which first kicked off when Louis managed Girls Aloud from 2002 to 2004.
It sparked Cheryl’s lengthy disdain for the Irishman and there is no love lost between the pair.
