EASTENDERS star Jake Wood was pictured with hundreds of pounds worth of pannetone and loo role ahead of Christmas.
The Max Branning actor stockpiled for Christmas by spending £215 on THIRTY SIX tins of the Italian sweet bread.
Jake, 48, was spotted in blue jeans, a Nike jumper and baseball cap as he strolled out of wholesaler Costco pushing a trolley loaded with the £5.99-a-piece pannetone.
His wife Alison Murray walked behind him dressed in black and the couple sported protective face coverings.
Jake looked ready to feed a small army but revealed on Twitter he had snapped up the bread, traditionally given as a gift at Christmas, for his EastEnders co-stars and crew.
He wrote: “These 36 panettone were leaving gifts for of all my co-workers @CostcoUK @bbceastenders”
One fan wrote back: “Did you buy the MAXimum amount”
Another joked: “They’re not pannettone, disguised loo roll I reckon x”
It was confirmed back in September that Max would be leaving EastEnders in a huge new storyline.
EastEnders fans know that trouble has been brewing after Ian Beale caught Max snogging Linda behind Mick’s back.
Following their steamy romp last week, father-of-two Max confessed his love for Linda.
Max also asked Linda to run away with him, and this week will confront her husband Mick about their affair.
But after the confrontation, Linda seems taken aback when Mick does nothing about the news – though it’s perhaps unsurprising after weeks of their relationship being on the rocks.
Linda is increasingly worried about Mick’s mental state.
And she has a right to be as we revealed New Years Eve plot lines may see Danny Dyer’s character contemplating suicide.
A source revealed: “Mick feels he has no other option and contemplates suicide. It will be a tough but important watch.”
