LOVE Island star Olivia Hawkins has opened up about her death threat hell after her stint in the villa.

The 27-year-old admitted that life after the ITV2 show has been “really difficult”.

Olivia has opened up about her death threat hell since returning to the UK after the show

Olivia and Maxwell narrowly missed out on the final of Love Island

Olivia narrowly missed out on a place in the final alongside her beau Maxwell Samuda when they were both dumped from the Love Island villa on day 45.

But since being back in the UK the ring girl has received some awful messages online.

Unfortunately, due to the massive shake-up of show rules, the actress saw a lot of them for herself.

Olivia said: “It’s hard.

“And obviously because of the social media change, the trolling hadn’t been filtered out, so I was the one having to see it all by myself when I left the villa, which was really difficult.”

Back in December it was revealed that the family and friends of the Islanders were banned from posting on their social media accounts during the show and their accounts were dormant.

Olivia also opened up about what she has found the hardest thing to deal with.

She added to New magazine: “The mental health aspects of fame and trolling.

“When you get the nasty comments – and I have had quite a lot of death threats – you just don’t expect it at all.

“So when you see it, you’re just completely shocked.”

This isn’t the first time Olivia has opened up about the hate she’s received.

The beauty – who became one of the show’s controversial stars – said she has struggled with the negative reaction she has received from the public.

But she praised her strong support network who have helped her get through this difficult time.

Olivia exclusively told HOAR: “I’ve got a lot of strong people around me, thankfully.

“It has been hard on me.

“There’s only so much I can take.”

Just last week

LOVE Island star Olivia hinted that she had split from Maxwell after she took a swipe at ‘men’.

The star was currently in the UK, while Maxwell was on holiday in Mexico.

Talking about her make-up products, Olivia said: “We find it hard to trust, just like our men. But this is the only lip liner that works for me.”

Rimmel, the brand behind her lip liner, replied: “No need to trust men when you can trust us [wink face emoji] We love you!!”

In response, Olivia teased: “@rimmellondonus cappuccino lip liner for the win. Pick your liners like you’d pick your men girls.

“Try a few if you need to x.”

Just a couple of days ago Olivia insisted everything was “fine” between the pair as she appeared on the Not My Bagg podcast with Gogglebox personalities and brothers, Joe and George Baggs.

She said: “There’s been rumours that we split up, I went to the football and he went to an event, but no we’re literally fine.

“We’re really good, cool calm collected he’s a good guy and he treats me nice.”

Olivia and Maxwell are still going strong
