DESPERATE for a relationship with her long-lost daughter Miley, Faye Windass is heartbroken to know she’ll soon leave the cobbles.
Craig Tinker has made matters worse but next week, she finally finds a way out of Coronation Street after twelve years.

Soap star Ellie Leach is turning a new leaf as she waves goodbye to the ITV soap and the role of Faye Windass, which she took on as a schoolgirl.
But as she prepares for an emotional goodbye, her on-screen alter ego is set for some last harrowing moments.
In recent scenes, the Underworld factory employee has been mending her bond with her daughter Miley but received a huge shock when the girl’s father Jackson Hodge (Joseph William Evans) asked her to move with them down to Slough.
To top it all off, Craig Tinker (Colson Smith) asked for her hand in marriage – and she accepted.
And when she reveals how torn she is over which life she could be choosing, Craig shows he has a dark side by holding one of her deepest, darkest secrets against in an attempt to make her stay.
But in scenes due to air next week, the copper assures her he would never report her and, instead, acts like nothing has happened.
Craig suggests they should get on with their future together by buying a flat and setting a date for their nuptials.
Faye feels more trapped than ever when her father Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) admits he’s relieved she picked Craig over Jackson and Miley.
Later on, the pair invite Faye for a last family outing before they leave but she can’t face it.
She eventually finds comfort in her brother Gary Windass (Mikey North) and, as she breaks down, she admits she wants to be with Jackson but is unable to leave as Craig knows something that could send her straight back to prison.
Whether Gary will choose to help Faye or not remains to be seen but, in later scenes, she tells Craig that Jackson and Miley will be calling round to take some last photos together before their departure.
Faye has seemingly accepted her fate and as she poses alongside Craig, Jackson, Tim and his wife Sally, Miley explains how she plans to put together an album to remember them by.
Moved, Faye tries her best to keep a lid on her overwhelming emotions as she gets ready to say goodbye to her daughter a second time – but Craig can see she’s deeply upset and finally comes to his senses.
He tells her that if she wants to go with Jackson and Miley to Slough, then she should go for it.
Craig makes peace with the end of their engagement and sends her on her way.
With her case packed, Faye approaches the car – her decision is made as she leaves the cobbles and a heartbroken Craig behind.
Coronation Street airs every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8pm on ITV.
