Once again, two Emmerdale colleagues show romance can blossom in the most unlikely places and potentially cause heartbreak.

Wendy Posner gets a little too close to Liam Cavanagh
Regular ITV viewers have kept track of what’s to come in the eponymous village and are dreading to see Wendy Posner get closer to Dr Liam Cavanagh, her employer.
But when she finds out the village GP played by Jonny McPherson is writing his own murder mystery in the hopes of winning Murder Most Murky’s award, Wendy decides to give him a helping hand by tweaking one of his texts.
The pair surprisingly bond over their shared interest and they soon make plans to attend an event in Hotten, only Wendy lies to her partner Bob Hope about what she’ll truly be up to.
Coming up, the nurse portrayed by Susan Cookson meets up with Liam by the bus stop where she reveals she has big plans for their night at the murder mystery convention.
However, Liam soon informs her the event has moved online and he’s touched by the effort when she prepares a celebratory evening at the Doctors’ Surgery after he gets nominated for the award he’s been looking to receive – the New Crime Writer of the Year award.
The champagne cork pops while the chemistry between Liam and Wendy fizzes as they sip champagne while donning fancy dress.
Liam puts some music on and they gyrate slowly towards one another, before getting too caught up in the moment as the doctor finds out he has won Murder Most Murky’s New Crime Writer of the Year Award under the pen name “Anna Le Monde.”
But the celebrations make way for a steamy encounter as things start to get passionate between Wendy and Liam.
Wendy struggles to hold it together as the guilt of cheating on Bob weighs heavy on her mind.
In later scenes, while working in the Doctors’ Surgery, Liam is unable to contain his desire for Wendy and kisses her suddenly.
Although surprised, Wendy can’t help in responding to Liam’s kiss – but could it all get out of hand?
Can Wendy keep it a secret from her partner Bob Hope (Tony Audenshaw)?
While this remains to be seen, Wendy would undoubtedly be crushed to find out Bob is having secret passions of his own with none other than Bernice Blackstock (Samantha Giles).
The pair have been bickering while trying to keep business at B&B afloat and decide to rekindle their friendship next week.
But Bob soon slips up by admitting he’s always considered Bernice beautiful and they share a moment.
Much like Wendy and Liam, Bernice and Bob feel the ever-growing chemistry and flirtation between… and the former makes a drunken attempt to kiss him.
How will Bob react?
