CALEB Milligan has made enemies left, right and centre in the Dales after his revenge plot was finally unveiled.
But he finds solace in the form of another surprising Emmerdale resident tonight and it will be full of consequences.
Everyone in the village has turned their backs on Caleb Milligan
But a lonely Charity Dingle welcomes him into her home
The pair share a drunken evening
Chaos took over the ITV village last week after Kim Tate and Cain Dingle put their differences aside to expose Caleb Milligan.
The schemer played by Will Ash has been alienated from the rest of the villagers, including his own long-lost family.
His only son and ally Nicky fled Emmerdale after his wedding disaster with Gabby Thomas, leaving Caleb to pick up the pieces of their ruined plans alone.
Tonight, Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) gently evicts Caleb from the Woolpack and he accepts her decision, heading off to pack his things.
Meanwhile, his half-brother Cain (Jeff Hordley) is seething, ready for revenge but his wife Moira (Natalie J. Robb) tries to deter him.
At Home Farm, an unwashed Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) is still struggling with her heartbreak, but is rallied by a frank pep-talk by Kim (Claire King).
Later on, Bernice Blackstock (Samantha Giles) and Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy) are startled to see Gabby turning up for work at the Hide.
Although she’s far from over Nicky, her family gather to support her through the heartbreak.
Things go from bad to worse for Caleb when his love interest Leyla Harding (Roxy Shahidi) rejects him as he tries to apologise.
Regular viewers of the Yorkshire-based soap will remember that Leyla had been hired to plan Gabby and Nicky’s wedding, meaning that Caleb interfered with her work.
But Caleb isn’t the only one to struggle with matters of the heart as Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) is gutted to see Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) and Chloe Harris (Jessie Elland) getting close.
The pair were seen heading upstairs for another intimate moment during last night’s trip to Emmerdale as their romantic feelings for one another continue to grow.
Lonely Charity soon offers Caleb a drink and before long, the two bond over wine.
In a drunken haze, Charity and Caleb open up to each other and find solace, united in their misery.
What trouble will it bring them?
Emmerdale airs weeknights from 7.30pm on ITV.
