MOLLY-Mae Hague shaded Love Island presenter Laura Whitmore by calling her “Laura Gilmore” in her latest YouTube video.

Molly-Mae, 20, rose to fame on Love Island last year when Caroline Flack hosted the series.

The presenter had hosted every series of the ITV2 hit since it returned in 2015.

But Caroline, 40, stepped down after she was charged with assault following a bust-up at her home with boyfriend Lewis Burton.

And unfortunately, Molly-Mae couldn’t remember new host Laura’s full name, making an embarrassing error as she watched the first episode of Love Island’s winter series.

The social media influencer corrected her mistake, and included ‘Whitmore’ in white text over the video, after telling viewers: “Laura Gilmore, the new presenter!”

Despite her slip up, Molly-Mae couldn’t wait to see the Irish star in action, and she added: “I think she’s great. I think she must be so nervous.

“Obviously she’s got massive shoes to fill. And obviously it was a scandal over who would come next. I’m interested to see how she’s going to do.”

Caroline was “absolutely devastated” about the decision to stand down from Love Island, which came as she was arrested after an early-hours altercation with boyfriend Lewis.

She The Sun: “Love Island has been my world for the last five years, its the best show on telly. In order to not detract attention from the upcoming series I feel the best thing I can do is to stand down for series six.

“I want to wish the incredible team working on the show a fantastic series in Cape Town.”

Boyfriend Lewis has since defended her, describing her as “loyal and kind”.

Caroline wants to get hitched to her boyfriend and even start a family, according to Heat magazine.

A source told Heat: “Caroline has been an absolute mess in the aftermath of this incident, but she is determined to get through it all and stay with Lewis.”

She wants them to take their relationship to the next level despite her bail conditions currently keeping them apart following her charge for assault.

The presenter, who is currently holidaying in Los Angeles, is already planning to “get her life on track” and believes wedding the tennis coach and starting a family with him is the answer.

The source added: “As far as she’s concerned, she’s got a point to prove – she says she’s innocent and she wants to fast-track her marriage plans as soon as the trial is over.”

Laura, who is dating Love Island’s Voice Over man Iain Sterling, has praised Caroline for her support as she prepares to take over from her.

In an exclusive interview, Laura, 34,told The Sun: I know shes got a strong network of people around her who are supporting her throughout all of this.

She has been incredibly gracious and supportive of me taking on the role for thewinter series.

Shes a brilliant host and I just hope that I can give the role the justice it deserves while she is taking some time off.

The Irish star is said to be earning 500,000 for deputising for Caroline, 40, who stepped down after cops were called to her London home after she allegedly hit Lewis, 26, with a lamp while he slept.
