TV host Konnie Huq has taken a pop at Simon Cowell for sacking her ten years ago — by naming a villain in her new kids’ book Simon Scowl.
Konnie, 45, makes her fictitious character a petulant judge on telly reality show “Kingdom’s Got Talent” in her retelling of classic children’s stories.
The ex-Blue Peter host took aim after she was axed as The Xtra Factor host.
She was said to have annoyed Britain’s Got Talent supremo Simon, 60, by dropping clangers.
In Konnie’s Fearless Fairytales story, Scowl pokes fun at entrant Rap-Unzel who tells the panel her hair can’t stop growing because her mum ate witches’ herbs.
Scowl replies: “Yeah, yeah, great back-story. Would make a charming fairytale. Off you go.”
In the original, a prince climbs Rapunzel’s tresses to free the maiden from captivity in a tower.
Later, Scowl tells her to lose weight, get a fake tan and whiten her teeth “so mine don’t look too bright” before she can go on the show.
In a letter, he adds: “Oh, and I almost forgot, you’ll have to cut off all your hair as it looks really, really stupid. Yours grouchfully, Simon Scowl.”
