DANCING On Ice contestant Darren Harriott revealed a new injury whilst chatting on the radio.
The star detailed the incident that has left him with whiplash, bruises and a sliced arm.
Whilst chatting on 5 Live radio, Darren explained: “I’ve got two bruised hips, I’ve currently got whiplash, I’ve got a bandage around my arm because my partner’s blade sliced my arm open and they’ve had to glue it.
“But other than that, mate, I’m fine.”
When asked how he got whiplash, he stated: “Old school, meat and potatoes whiplash.
“I’ve got it. So, my partner fell into me, I was supposed to hold her but I was leaning too far back.
“We fell backwards and my shoulder blades hit the ice, but my head stayed up.
“Bam. Old school whiplash. I now have a special pillow and have to see a physio once a week.”
The comedian, known for his appearance at the BBC’s Live at the Apollo and his time on the Comedy Central channel, has endured previous injuries whilst on the ice with partner Tippy Packard.
Darren, 34, told his followers in December that he had suffered whiplash after a bad fall.
He wrote: “Soooooo… I fell backwards yesterday on the ice near the end of my lesson and I now have whiplash.
“I can’t turn my head properly or raise my left arm. This is a big week for everyone on Dancing on Ice because it’s promo filming and show and tell so I’m gutted.”
Despite his injuries, Darren remained optimistic, adding: “I need a few days to bring down the inflammation and then it’s back to ‘Spice on ice’ with my amazing partner.”
In a candid interview with HOAR, Darren has recently opened up about his personal life.
He spoke about growing up in Oldbury near Birmingham, losing his father to suicide when he was just 11 and being involved in crime.
Within the interview he admitted: “Stand-up saved me because I was completely lost.”
