And the 46-year-old, who was forced to pull out of Dancing On Ice after fracturing her shoulder, has drafted in her pro skater partner Matt to direct an “organic video” that shows her at home with her partner Eddie as she performs the iconic tune On My Own from Les Miserables.

Matt, who has been partnered with DOI’s biggest stars over 13 series of the ITV show, revealed: “Denise sounds incredible on the track. It was shot in her studio in her home when I was living there, as we were in the same bubble for Dancing on Ice.

“It shows behind-the-scenes footage of Denise at her home with her partner Eddie. It’s very natural.

“When we went for walks I brought my camera along, so we have scenes of beautiful countryside too, so it just embodies us going for walks during lockdown.

“For Denise’s beauty look, we kept that natural and simple too. Everything is organic, and her voice is the main focus.”

Matt, who has directed for Girl’s Aloud star Nadine Coyle too, added: “We had originally hoped to perform to it if Denise had made it to musicals week, but she had to leave the show because of her injury.”

The video, a rendition of a hit ballad from the West End show, will be premiered on Loose Women on Monday.

The track will be released on Wednesday after being played on Zoe Ball’s BBC Radio 2 show, with all proceeds going to MAD Trust charity to help fight HIV.

HOAR revealed yesterday Denise would be releasing her first music since her album Tell Me On A Sunday in 2003.

She said: “This is what I was going to sing live on Dancing On Ice on musicals week. When I had to drop out I decided to release my own version to raise money for theatre professionals out of work and highlight how difficult it has been for the industry in the pandemic.”

She has recorded her song with hit pop producer Steve Anderson, who has worked with Kylie Minogue and Britney Spears, and added: “Les Miserables is the first West End musical I performed in when I was just 11 years old, so this song has always been very special to me.”
