The TV producer has been behind the BBC’s successful Gladiators re-boot

Dan has created a talent agency which has signed up 12 out of the 16 Gladiator stars

Early viewing figures suggested a whopping 6.4million saw the BBC’s reboot at its peak.

Now Ministry Of Mayhem producer Dan, 49 – who married Holly, 43, back in 2007 – has created a talent agency to manage the ripped show stars.

According to MailOnline, his firm Hungry Bear Talent has signed up 12 of the 16 Gladiators line-up including Alex Gray known as Apollo and Emily Steele, who is Dynamite.

This means Dan, who set up his firm last year, will get a slice of their income as their fame rockets.

A source has now told MailOnline: “Talk about a clever business decision. Dan made the reboot with his company, sold it to the BBC for a lot of money and now he has shrewdly signed up some of its most popular young stars.

“Whatever they make now, he will get extra money via the management company.

“Some might think that is a little greedy. The BBC isn’t supposed to be a shop window for Dan to cash in on.”

The BBC‘s version of Gladiators has left almost everything about the show untouched, with the only enhancement being in filming quality and technological flourishes and a switch-up in challenges.

Dan is no stranger to successful TV shows, working on well-known shows like Keith Lemon‘s Celebrity Juice and Virtually Famous.

His television career started when he worked as a researcher on the BBC‘s Live & Kicking and he has also held roles such as series producer at the BBC and head of programmes and production at MTV.

Dan has also won a BAFTA, two NTAs, and two Royal Television Society awards throughout his successful career.

Meanwhile, his wife Holly also made her emotional TV return last month as she fronted Dancing On Ice.

It came after the star’s three-month break from TV when she quit her presenting role on This Morning in October.

The mum of three then disappeared from view in the wake of an alleged kidnap and murder plot.
