GREG Rutherford has given a look at his final Dancing On Ice routine before his horror injury in rehearsals.

The ITV show was thrown into chaos on Sunday night when the Olympian, 38, had to withdraw from the competition after he was rushed to hospital.

Greg was due to perform in the final

Despite being “the closest ever” final four, the long-jump champ and partner Vanessa James were “destined to win”.

Greg would have skated against fellow finalists Miles Nazaire, Ryan Thomas and Adele Roberts, but it was Corrie legend Ryan who was crowned winner of this year’s series.

He recently took to Instagram to share what viewers would have watched if he didn’t have to rush to hospital.

Greg captioned the post: “Something that I really wish I could have performed… #Bolero

“Im almost 36 hours since the injury and watching the videos of what could have been.

“It’s bloody hard to take at this point as I know we could have shown something exciting and new with our final performances.

“Of course the Bolero isn’t a given and I’ll post our showcase at some point too… I haven’t shown the end as I’m determined to actually perform it with Vanessa one day for everyone to see.

“I’m really proud of what we achieved on the show.

“This take was from Saturday morning and we were marking for the double twist… the full program was truly beautiful.

“I’m a bit heart broken at the moment @vanessa_james_sk8@dancingonice

“Do you think me and Vanessa should get together again and perform it live one day?”

Dancing On Ice co-stars, friends and fans rushed to the comments section to share the love.

Winner Ryan wrote: “Im glad you didn’t do it with that performance otherwise I would of lost my trophy .”

Adele added: “Stunning Get well soon Greggles! Sending you lots of love Xxx.”

Pro skater Vicky Odgen chimed in: “Stunning…”

It comes after Greg shared a major health update after his devastating pre-final injury.

Greg has been bed bound since being rushed to hospital, but managed to leave the house.

The star shared a snap of his skating pro partner in what looks like a cafe.

He wrote: “Look who I found.”

Greg’s fiancee Susie Verrill also reassured fans that Greg was on the mend in a recent social media post.

She wrote: “Thanks for all your lovely messages for Greg.

“Sorry for being rubbish at replying – my inbox was a mess already because of the past few months have been manic so I need to work through them all properly.

“Greg’s doing a lot better and recovering well.”

She previously posted a photo of Greg lying in a hospital bed.

She wrote: “Not quite how @gregjrutherford anticipated spending today.

“Thank you for all your kind messages.”

Susie added alongside a video: “Resus is never a fun place to be is it. There’s a lot of screaming (Not from Greg).”

Greg shared an update with fans after leaving hospital.

Next to a shirtless selfie lying in bed, Greg wrote: “Recovery sort of starts now… after a pretty rough first night, I’m looking forward to getting everything sorted and sewn up so I can get back to normal.

“Thank you all so much for your kind messages,” he added with a love heart emoji.

On Sunday, Greg announced that he was “devastated” to have to pull out of the finale.

In a video posted to Instagram, in which he appeared to be receiving treatment from a paramedic, he said: “I know this looks very dramatic, and everything else.

“Sadly, I picked up a big injury in rehearsals. I’m on my way to the hospital so I will not be performing on Dancing On Ice tonight.

“I am devastated but these things happen. So stay tuned, we’ll keep you updated. What a nightmare way for this to finish.”
