A FORMER I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here star has said she “doesn’t even recognise” Chris Moyles on the ITV show.
The TV star opened up about working alongside the former Radio One DJ years ago – and how he has become “much quieter”.
Gillian McKeith – who appeared on the ITV show in 2010 – said she felt Chris, 48, was “being careful” while taking part in I’m A Celeb.
Reacting to the new series, the TV presenter exclusively told HOAR: “Chris you hardly hear, but he is normally very vocal.
“I did X Factor: Battle of the Stars with him in 2006 and he certainly wasn’t quiet, believe me. I don’t even recognise him, he is different.
“He didn’t care what he said about you, to your face or behind your back. So I’m like, ‘what happened to you?’.
“He is so much quieter. I think they are all worried about cancel culture these days and being so careful.”
Earlier this week, Gillian, 63, opened up on the jungle camp secrets, including how the celebs would “never see” staff in camp as they would creep in “every morning at 5am”.
She revealed how staff check on the technology, including each celeb’s mic pack, as well as announce who was going to the Bush Telegraph, all without seeing the celebs in person.
The TV star explained: “There are sound check people that come in and change your batteries, every morning about 5am.
“A person comes in to change the batteries in the mic pack, it’s on the side of your bed so they come in, change them and leave.”
She added of the secret “voice” heard in camp – but missing from the TV edit: “I never saw the producers in camp.
“When the producers need you to do something, a voice beams into camp, over a loudspeaker, and they will say something like: ‘Will Gillian please go to the bush telegraph?’
“If you don’t go fast enough, they tell you to hurry up.”
Elsewhere, Gillian opened up on how she believes that one of the campmates has been “manipulating” the jungle camp.
The TV star, who is backing Mike Tindall for success this year, produced some of I’m A Celeb’s most memorable moments while bunking off trials in 2010.
The You Are What You Eat star fainted twice on the show back in 2010, but was called out over her “theatrics” after viewers spotted her pulling down her top while supposedly unconscious.
But speaking to HOAR, Gillian told us she thinks politician Matt Hancock is “manipulating” the other stars.
She said: “You do get a sense from him that he is lacking self awareness, but when it comes to politicians they are so clever.
“They are very good at weaving people into their web and making themselves appear extremely amiable and kind and caring.
“He is demonstrating all of these qualities on the show so of course he could be manipulating us because aren’t politicians like that?”
Not holding back Gillian added: “It’s the Matt Hancock show, 100%.”
