THERE we’re tensions flaring on I’m A Celebrity as Matt and Owen only managed to win 5 out of 11 stars in the trial.

The pair were voted to take part in the trial titled Who Wants To Look Silly On Air.

However, Owen was left feeling disappointed at the lack of stars he managed to achieve in his first attempt at a public-voted trial.

As the trial grew to a close, a clearly deflated Owen said: “I’m not happy man, I’m covered in all sorts and we’ve only got 5 stars… he [Matt] was doing well until you got me on his team.”

Campmates Charlene and Sue expressed their concerns about the lack of food won during the trial after Matt had brought home a full house the day before.

Speaking in the Bush Telegraph, Hollyoaks hunk Owen said: “I’m feeling very disappointed, very deflated. I’m not the smartest geezer about, which is probably why I got put to do that. I feel a bit awful… I feel really tight that I’ve let the campmates down a little bit.”

Upon finding out he had been picked for the trial, the actor, alongside Matt, declared: “This right here, you’re looking at the dream team.”

It comes amid tension between Sue and host Ant during the trial.

During one part of the trial, based on the hit game show Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, Matt and Owen called on Corrie star Sue to help them out as their ‘phone a friend’.

The actress panicked that she would not be able to get the answer right and would be ‘humiliated’.

During the awkward exchange, Sue said: “Oh, please don’t humiliate me on TV.”

Ant quickly snapped back telling her: “Oh, please don’t humiliate me on TV.”

A shocked Sue sharply quipped back:  “You are dead to me!”
