AN unlucky Love Island couple has been dumped from the villa agonisingly close to Monday night’s final.

The pairing, who we aren’t revealing to avoid spoilers, has already said their goodbyes and won’t be in the running for the £50,000 cash prize.

Mitch and Abi were one of two couples at risk in the latest dumping

Whitney and Lochan were the other pairing fighting for survival

Viewers will find out which duo has bitten the dust in tomorrow night’s show.

The islanders at risk were Whitney and Lochan, and Mitch and Ella B, after they received votes from their co-stars as the least compatible couple left in the villa.

Viewers were told the news at the end of last night’s episode before narrator Iain Stirling revealed that Love Island phone lines were open for the public to vote to save one of the couples.

Despite receiving a vote from their co-stars, Whitney and Lochan are in fact the favourites to win the show in the eyes of viewers.

Fans of the ITV2 series want the wig shop owner and account manager, both 25 and from London, to take the crown.

Aesthetics nurse Jess Harding and recruiter Sammy Root, both 22, are hot on their heels in a poll conducted by HOAR.

And Tyrique Hyde and Ella Thomas are breathing down their necks in third place with 23.4 per cent of the vote.

If Sun readers are right, it will make for the closest run final ever.

Last year they correctly predicted Ekin-Su Culculoglu and Davide Sanclimenti would win with a landslide victory of 63.7 per cent.

Some viewers have named this series as a return to form after the Winter season in Cape Town fell flat.

Some 12 per cent of our readers said they had begun watching for the first time ever this year.

ITV also say the show has garnered the biggest 16-24 audience on any commercial channel since the World Cup last year and has been streamed 300million times online.

The series ends on Monday night at 9pm on ITV2.
