LOVE Island fans panicked tonight as ITV2 cut out while the ITV Hub showed a picture of old host Caroline Flack just seconds into the show’s launch.
The ITV2 show returned for its first winter series in South Africa tonight.
However, things went awry within the opening seconds as the sound broke up before the screen went blank for a couple of seconds.
The technical issues continued for a few more seconds before things seemed to get back on track.
However, fans watching on ITV Hub continued to have issues sparking major panic for those wanting their first dose of winter sun.
One wrote on Twitter: “Whats up with the sound and picture? Bloody awful.”
Another added about the Hub: “@itv2 get ur s**t together so i can watch love island. been waiting all day n u give me this sorry this isnt available b*****ks on the website.
“bloody fuming not happy one bit hope ur happy w yaselves.”
A third was equally annoyed, writing: “My Telly just glitched.. Please tell me I’m not alone #LoveIsland
Don’t do this.”
ITV Hub’s official Twitter account quickly apologised for the glitch, writing: “So sorry everyone, we’re working away to get everything back up and running! #LoveIsland.”
Minutes later, they tweeted again to say if viewers refreshed their stream they would be able to watch it, however the response was not a good one.
One viewer tweeted: “Lies man! Not letting me sign in.”
Another wrote: “you guys had ONE JOB.”
