A Love Island star has confirmed that she is now a single mom after splitting from her boyfriend. Shaughna Phillips, 28, gave birth to her adorable baby girl Lucia in April. Unfortunately, her baby's dad was arrested for drug offenses.

Unexpected Turn

When Shaughna got pregnant with boyfriend Billy Webb, the couple believed that having a child together would be their "greatest chapter yet." However, they didn't foresee the legal troubles that would arise.

After being "shocked and blindsided" by police findings during a dramatic raid, Shaughna prepared herself to be a single parent. Despite not having a partner by her side for support, she proudly shared her experience of motherhood on her new podcast Oh Baby!, which she co-hosts with her best friend Holly Connolly.

Mum of the Year

During the podcast, Shaughna expressed that she feels like the "mum of the year" despite the challenges she faces. She humorously said, "I'm going to wear the title as a badge of honor – I don't have any guilt about being a single mom, it's just the hand of cards that I was dealt. I just hope that one day Lucia doesn't write a diss track about me!"

Heartbreaking First Words

However, Shaughna was heartbroken by her daughter Lucia's first words, given the complicated family situation. She shared, "All I get is Dada, Dada, and I'm like 'Wow – a son would not do me dirty like this! It's just rude. I look at her and go 'Mama' and she's like 'not today, probably not next month, maybe not ever'. For banter, she's probably going to say Nana first."

Staying Positive

Shaughna previously told OK! Magazine that although she was devastated by the situation with Billy, she is keeping a positive outlook on life with her little girl. She said, "I'm good at just saying, 'Right, the show must go on.' Billy's not around, but I don't want to say that I'm doing it on my own because I'm absolutely not – my family's incredible. It's going to be different, but I don't want to say it's going to be bad."
