LOVE Island star Tanya Manhenga has revealed that she is quitting fame to return to university.

The biomedical student, 23, shot to fame on the latest series of the ITV2 dating show and found love with airport security worker Muhammad.

Love Island’s Tanya is set to return to university to finish her degree

Tanya and Shaq have no plans to rush into moving in together

Despite finishing fourth in the competition and becoming one of the most popular contestants on the show, Tanya is adamant that her studies come first.

After eight weeks in the sunshine, Tanya revealed that she is heading back to University of Salford to complete her degree.

Tanya told fans during an Instagram Q&A when asked if she was going to drop her studies now she has found fame.

She replied: “I’m definitely going to finish… I don’t start things and don’t finish them.”

Speaking about her plans to move in with Shaq, Tanya admitted that she’s in no rush.

The reality star admitted that she is “definitely thinking” about swapping Liverpool for London in the future.

Tanya said: “We really want to take our time with that step because it means a lot to me and him. But if I have to be closer to him I’ll go to London or he’ll come to Liverpool.”

Although the pair may be going from strength-to-strength, not all Islanders are convinced.

Martin Akinola, who joined the show as part of the Casa Amor twist, has insisted the couple will not last on the outside.

Martin, 27, grew close to Tanya during his stay in the villa but she ended up choosing Shaq after delivering a gushing speech in front of their fellow Islanders.

Speaking to Bobby Norris and Stephen Leng on FUBAR Radio, he said: “I really hope it lasts on the outside but I know that’s not going to be the case.

“If I was a betting man, I’d probably put it on Shaq and Tanya to end first. But I really hope they last a long time honestly.”
