LOVE Island star George Fensom has revealed his ‘game plan’ in the villa after apologising for his homophobic tweets.

The 24-year-old from Bedford is one of sexy singletons in the official line-up for this year’s summer series of the ITV2 show.

Love Island returns this Monday

But Love Island fans were left questioning George‘s place on the programme after some old social media posts resurfaced online.

He has since broken his silence about the tweets, admitting that he feels sick about them, but has also opened up about his upcoming ‘game plan’.

When asked by HOAR if he feels like he hasn’t got a point to prove going in, George said: “I don’t feel like I have a point to prove as such, I’m going to be in the villa just being exactly as I am on the outside.

“I don’t need to act a certain way or dress a certain way or talk a certain way or change my vocabulary to impress people.

“I’m just going to go in there with an open mind, and just be me and hopefully people will realise that is me. And that’s my game plan going in.”

Speaking about the tweets he said: “I honestly just feel absolutely sick about those tweets. They are not who I am today, they couldn’t be any further from the man I am today and – quite frankly – if I could turn back time I wouldn’t even have put those.

“To be honest with you, it’s me being really naive at that age. I made the account back in 2011, so it’s just stupidity on my behalf and doesn’t reflect on who I am today at all.”

It comes after George’s ex accused him of being a “cheat” and a “liar”.

The furious ex hit out at George in a TikTok video last year, which has resurfaced since it was announced he will be entering the villa next week.

Love Island returns this Monday, with Maya Jama as host.

The new boys consist of George, Tyrique Hyde, 24, Mehdi Edno, 26, Andre Furtado, 21, and Mitchel Taylor, 26.

Catherine Agbaje, 22, Ruchee Gurung, 24, Molly Marsh, 21, Ella Thomas, 23, and Jess Harding, 22, are the OG girls.
