THE next batch of sexy singletons have entered the Mallorca villa.

Among the Love Island contestants is Tyrique Hyde.

Tyrique Hyde is the son of a Premier League footballer and friends with former Love Island contestant Toby Aromolaran.

Who is Tyrique Hyde?

Tyrique is one of the contestants of Love Island and no stranger to fame.

The Essex stud is 24-years-old and is a semi-professional footballer.

He is the son of a popular football star, Micah Hyde, and counts a former Love Island finalist as his best friend.

Speaking to CapitalFM Tyrique said of his friendship with Toby Aromolaran: “I had a conversation with Toby before [I left], obviously he’s my close friend, he literally just said to me: ‘listen bro, just be yourself. If you’re not yourself, people are gonna see through if you’re trying to be something you’re not.”

He was born with a hearing impairment admitting that he’s “deaf in my right ear”.

Eagle-eyed fans may have spotted his unusual tattoo of a lightning bolt on his left ear which he says symbolises “the strength and power in my good one”.

Speaking of what he hopes to bring to the Mallorca villa, he said: “I’ll bring vibes, confidence, good energy and honesty. I don’t sit on the fence, if I have an opinion I will speak up. I’m also not afraid to go after what I want.”

He explained his reasons for entering the villas to find love as he’s “been single my whole life, I have commitment issues and I’m not afraid to say it. You’re vulnerable putting yourself out there! I’m looking for my first and last girlfriend.”

If love does come Tyrique’s way, his ideal first date would be in a chartered yacht around the Caribbean.

What football club does Tyrique Hyde play for?

Tyrique plays for Lewes FC as a central midfielder after joining the club in October 2022.

Previously he has played for Redbridge, Colchester, Dagenham, Dartfod and Dulwich Hamlet.

Tyrique hopes to forge a professional football career similar to his father, Micah Hyde, who played for Watford in the Premier League during the 1999-2000 season.

Micah is now head coach for Queens Park Rangers Under 18s.
