Nibbles

Sainsbury’s Brie and Bubbly Hand Cooked Potato Crisps: These crisps were like eating strong cheese crisps that made your tongue fizz like sherbet. A weird combination, but surprisingly addictive. Result: 6/10

Lidl Baked Camembert & Hot Honey Crisps: These crisps had a strong chilli kick and a hot afterburn. Unfortunately, they lacked the promised cheese flavor. Not worth buying. Result: 4/10

Lidl Deluxe Lobster Cocktail Crisps: These crisps had a prawn cocktail flavor with a deep tomato taste. While they were tasty, they are only recommended for seafood lovers. Result: 8/10

Tesco Sticky Toffee Cheddar Truckle: This cheese had a weird combination of sickly sweet, salty, and sour flavors. It could be fun to dare your guests to try it, but overall, not impressive. Result: 3/10

The Main Event

Iceland Luxury Sprouts Wrapped in Bacon: These sprouts in blankets didn't solve the sprout debate. The pre-cooked sprouts inside were mushy and tasteless, and the bacon had a bitter taste of cabbage. Result: 4/10

Dessert

Morrisons The Best Cherry Bakewell Mince Pies: These mince pies had a moist frangipane top dotted with flaked almonds. While the cherry taste was not very strong, they were a tasty twist on a British classic. Result: 9/10

Tesco Finest Black Forest Christmas Pudding: This pudding was like a fruity chocolate pudding, making it a fun alternative to the classic. It had a deliciously chocolatey flavor with subtle festive spice and orange. Result: 8/10

Tesco Finest Salted Caramel Topped Mince Pie: These mince pies had a cheesecake-style biscuit crumble base with an overwhelming allspice flavor. The salted caramel didn't go well with the mincemeat, and there was too much biscuit and not enough filling. Result: 6/10

Drinks

Sainsbury’s Chocolate Mulled Wine: This mulled wine tasted like hot chocolate with wine in it. The combination of chocolate and mulled wine flavors didn't work well together. Be warned, it is high in alcohol content. Result: 5/10

Aldi Mince Pie & Jamaican Rum Flavour Mulled Wine: This mulled wine tasted more like a cheap rum cocktail than mulled wine. It lacked the expected mulled spices and had tropical fruit and coconut flavors. Result: 4/10
