LABOUR yesterday doubled down on its personal attacks on Rishi Sunak — with an advert targeting his wife.
But the party was accused of weaponising tech heiress Akshata Murty’s non-dom status.

Its latest campaign ad said: “Do you think it’s right to raise taxes for working people when your family benefitted from a tax loophole? Rishi Sunak does.”
Last year Ms Murty apologised after it emerged she did not pay UK tax on money earned abroad.
She vowed to pay British taxes on her income worldwide despite breaking no laws.
At the time Mr Sunak told HOAR “unpleasant smears” against his wife were beyond the pale and told Labour to back off.
But last night Shadow Chief Secretary to the Treasury Pat McFadden refused to accept politicians’ families should not be targeted.
Asked on LBC radio if he would be happy for his own wife to be dragged into campaign attacks, he replied: “My wife isn’t a non-dom.” Tories were quick to hit back.
Referring to a benefit lawyer Sir Keir Starmer qualified for when he headed public prosecutions, a source said: “This is the height of hypocrisy from a party whose leader stands to benefit from a tax-unregistered pension scheme.”
Labour sparked outrage with an earlier ad implying the PM did not want child abusers jailed.
Meanwhile, Sir Keir’s claim he would freeze council tax now if he was in power was hit by rate rises in Labour areas.
