SCOTS boss Nicola Sturgeon was tonight caught in a cover-up scandal over Covidiot MP Margaret Ferrier.
It came as social media pics shared by the SNP’s Ms Ferrier on Saturday — the day she had symptoms and took a test — emerged showing her at a leisure centre, salon and shop in her Rutherglen constituency.
On Monday she took a train from Glasgow to London.
Despite learning she had tested positive that evening, she returned to Scotland on Tuesday.
Party leader Ms Sturgeon called it a “flagrant and dangerous breach of the rules, possibly the worst imaginable”.
But she is powerless to sack her pal who has been suspended by the party.
Scottish Tory leader Douglas Ross questioned the SNP’s timeline, saying: “The SNP say they only found out about any wrongdoing on Thursday.
“That means we’re supposed to accept that the SNP found out Margaret Ferrier tested positive on Wednesday — and asked nothing.
“The SNP’s timeline is full of holes.”
The Met and Police Scotland are probing possible health rule breaches over her trips.
She faces a £4,000 fine.
On Monday night, Ms Ferrier had dinner with DUP MP Jim Shannon.
He has tested negative but is isolating.
