Their Close Relationship
George and Todd have been working together as colleagues and friends on the cobbles of ITV's Coronation Street. George, played by Tony Maudsley, took over his father's business and hired Todd, played by Gareth Pierce, to work in the new funeral parlour on Victoria Street.
Todd's Temptation
However, their bond is tested when Todd contemplates another job opportunity. It all starts when he discovers a card from Troy at Rest Easy, which George had thrown away. The card suggests a discussion about Todd's future career.

Todd confides in George's sister, Glenda, played by Jodie Prenger, who advises him to ask for a pay raise. When George avoids the conversation, Todd has had enough and arranges a meeting with Troy. Troy offers Todd a job with a salary of £30k plus bonus, which tempts Todd. This leads to an explosive confrontation between Todd and George.
