Recent months have shown their relationship was somewhat strained
There’s plenty of family drama ahead for Sally and Tim Metcalfe.
After jumping through many hurdles and overcoming severe health issues, the couple have finally found peace and are happy romantically.
But their happiness will be overshadowed my a handful of issues according to Corrie producer Iain MacLeod.
“Most of their problems arise for a story down the pipeline for Faye Windass and Craig Tinker”, he told HOAR.
The story will be kicking off with “surprise communication.”
“And suddenly, everybody is lying to each other and sneaking around”, Iain teased.
“There’s a certain amount of motivated dishonesty.”
ITV viewers can expect “a big family story” but how will it play out?
Recent months have been troubled for Sally and Tim (respectively portrayed by Sally Dynevor and Joe Duttine).
In late 2022, the Underworld machinist suspected her husband to be cheating on her.
Tim was eventually caught up by the truth in the midst of dinner at the Bistro when he accidentally sent his wife a text that was meant for Aggie Bailey.
The nurse and the cabbie hid their friendship and their connection slowly grew into an emotional affair, although viewers suspected it could have become physical off-screen.
Months prior, Tim encountered health issues and had to undergo heart surgery.
He turned to Aggie for support as he hid everything from his own wife.
To make matters worse, his mother Elaine drove a small wedge between them, which prompted Sally to leave the cobbles for several weeks, as she grew tired of feeling neglected.
Off-screen, however, Sally Dynevor tried her luck at the latest series of Dancing On Ice.
Faye and Craig, on the other hand, faced just as many issues in 2022 and were even at loggerheads over building a family together.
