CORONATION Street fans are all saying the same thing as Spider Nugent’s secret was revealed.
The eco warrior – who is played by actor Martin Hancock in the ITV soap – has been hiding something from ex Toyah ever since he returned to Weatherfield.
Spider confessed a secret to Toyah in Coronation Street
He told his ex he is married
In tonight’s episode he saved Toyah from being arrested at an out of control protest, before confessing all.
After Leanne tore a strip off Toyah for putting Spider in the position of being arrested to save her, Toyah went to find him.
Inviting him back to her flat she told him: “I realise this isn’t exactly the best time for you and me to reconnect but you said you loved me…”
Spider told her: “I shouldn’t have said that.”
“Why not?” asked Toyah, adding: “Because I love you too and I want us to be together properly.
“Nobody else has to know, as long as we know that’s all that matters.”
But as Toyah leaned in for a kiss, Spider stopped her and said: “I told you, we can’t do this.
“I’m sorry, I’m married.”
Toyah was utterly heartbroken and reacted with fury.
“I’m so sorry I should’ve said something before,” Spider said.
“I’m an idiot. I’m sorry. We haven’t been in a good place for a long time.
“Please don’t be like this. I meant everything I said about the way I feel about this. I’m so sorry.”
Toyah through him out and was in shock at his confession.
But fans think there’s something more to it.
One wrote: “I don’t think him being married is the only thing Spider’s been hiding. I don’t think he’s who he appears to be.”
A second said: “I’m calling it spider is a spy &’ being married’ is just the only excuse he could think up that’s why he is getting close ….”
Another added: “I don’t know why but I think spider in @itvcorrie is a undercover copper and she’s been set up to find out the truth about killing imran.”
