Coronation Street fans are on the edge of their seats as they predict a shocking double murder in the hit soap. Villain Stephen Reid, played by Todd Boyce, has been weaving a web of deception for months and has already killed three people. But tonight, Stephen's plans for a fresh start in Thailand with Jenny could come crashing down as the truth starts to emerge.

First victim discovered

Last week, the body of Stephen's first victim, Leo Thompkins, was found by a digger on a construction site. In a panic, Stephen rushed to the canal to check on the second body, Leo's father Teddy, which he had hidden in a roof box at the bottom of the murky water.

The final victim

Rufus Donahue, who had found out about Stephen's plot to drug factory boss Carla Connor with LSD, became Stephen's final victim. However, Stephen's plan to take control of the factory was derailed when Carla received her test results confirming she had been spiked with the drug.

Stephen's plans unravel

In tonight's double episode, Stephen's world begins to crumble when Carla starts to suspect him. Realizing that Stephen is usually the one who makes her tea, Carla begins to suspect that he had a motive to drug her. She takes her suspicions to the police, who tell her she needs more evidence.

A sinister encounter

Later, a detective pays Carla a visit and warns her to stay away from Stephen for her own safety. Unbeknownst to her, Stephen overhears their conversation and realizes he may have been seen by Tim Metcalfe while he was searching for the roof box. A familiar ringtone triggers a chilling flashback for Stephen, leading him to believe that Tim knows his secret.

The shocking conclusion

As the tension continues to build, fans are eagerly awaiting next week's Soap Super Week, where Stephen's storyline will reach its dramatic conclusion. Will he claim Tim as his next victim? Viewers are left guessing as the shocking events unfold.

Coronation Street airs on ITV1 and is available on ITVX.
