CORONATION Street fans are predicting a shock affair for Roy Cropper.
The gentle cafe owner – who is played by actor David Neilson in the ITV soap – has been mostly single since the death of his beloved wife Hayley.
Corrie fans reckon they’ve worked out an affair between Roy and Yasmeen
But recently he confessed his feelings towards Evelyn Plummer in a letter meant to be read in case of his death.
Obviously Evelyn read it and stupidly let Roy know leaving him feeling embarrassed before she left Weatherfield.
Evelyn had been annoyed at Roy’s growing closeness to Yasmeen Nazir – and tonight she wasn’t the only one.
When Roy and Yasmeen decided to enter the Rovers pub quiz together alongside her partner Stu and Tyrone Dobbs, the two men were left on the outside.
Roy and Yasmeen’s shared intellectual interests had them answering most of the questions – and having the time of their lives.
While Tyrone just went with it, Stu was furious and stormed off home.
And by the time Yasmeen got home, Stu apologised, admitting he felt excluded by her and Roy’s closeness.
He told her: “I’m sorry I ducked out, I just wasn’t feeling it as the kids say.”
And Yasmeen replied: “That’s why I wanted to come home to say I’m sorry too for dragging you out to a pub quiz that you didn’t want to go to.”
But while her and Stu made it up, fans are thinking the impossible – that Yasmeen and Roy could have an affair.
One wrote: “Have a feeling Roy and Yasmeen are going to get together.”
A second said: “I can see Roy and Yasmeen together.”
Another added: “Feel like these two are probably going to end up having an affair.”
