CORONATION Street fans have spotted a massive blunder with the Barlow’s legal fight against Amy’s rapist Aaron.
The student – who is played by actress Elle Mulvaney in the ITV soap – bravely wrote about how mechanic Aaron had raped her on social media.

But fans are baffled as they threatened to sue her parents
Her powerful words had an effect with news spreading across Weatherfield about what Aaron had done to her.
He was finally sacked from his job at the mechanics, and shunned by the residents on the cobbles.
But when his alcoholic dad turned up with money to burn from an inheritance, things took a dark turn for Amy.
He decided that Aaron was innocent and threatened Amy – warning her that if she didn’t take the post down, then he would sue her.
His words didn’t have much of an effect but later when Aaron begged her to take it down, playing on her own emotions, claiming she would never be able to escape what happened while the post was up, she decided to take it down.
But when Aaron’s dad returned he was flanked with his greasy lawyer, forcing Steve and Tracey to hire DeeDee Bailey to fight back.
However they were warned that Aaron’s dad could sue them for hundreds of thousands of pounds for Amy’s blog.
And when the lawyer demanded Amy write a retraction and admit she had lied, she was furious and refused.
Aaron’s dad insulted her and told her he would sue her parents for every penny they have – but fans have pointed out that they haven’t actually done anything.
So he couldn’t sue them – and they have called out the blunder.
One wrote: “Can someone please explain why Aaron’s dad can sue and also why he can sue Steve and Tracy?
“Surely only Aaron can sue and he needs to sue Amy – neither are minors.”
A second said: “Nothing to do with Eric and Steve. Amy and Aaron are over 18 so why are the parents getting involved ? You can’t sue on behalf of your adult son.”
Another added: “Aaron is a sacked mechanic. His dad is an alcoholic bum. How could they possibly afford an expensive libel case? Even the McDonalds meagre savings would run them dry in a week.”
