STEPHEN Reid was perhaps hoping he wouldn’t have to kill again to keep his secrets under wraps.
Unfortunately, he’s left with no choice when another Coronation Street resident finds out what he’s up to.

The truth is slowly catching up with the businessman
Viewers expected it and actor Todd Boyce promised it – the failing businessman is ready to strike again in scenes due to air on ITV.
It all begins when Stephen confides in his sister Gail Platt that he worries Elaine Metcalfe is reading too much into their budding friendship.
As viewers may remember, Elaine has had her sights on Stephen since he rocked up the cobbles in time to save his mother Audrey Roberts in 2022.
Luckily for Stephen, Teddy Thompkins (portrayed by Grant Burgin) flies to the rescue after overhearing him.
Teddy parks himself at Stephen and Elaine’s table and while she’s miffed at the intrusion, the former couldn’t be more grateful.
To show how thankful he is, and after Teddy admits he wanted to rescue him from an awkward situation, Stephen offers to get the drinks.
However, the encounter turns slightly sour for Stephen when Teddy suddenly remembers something about his recent accident.
Later on in the Rovers, Teddy agrees to abandon his trip to Canada, where he believes his son Leo has been living, and Stephen is relieved.
But Corrie vicar Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank) says something to Teddy which triggers a memory.
Fuming, he confronts Stephen as the latter heads out of the factory and accuses him of having done something to Leo.
Little does he know he’s actually right as Stephen murdered the hunk in late 2022 before disposing of his body.
Teddy grows angry, revealing he remembers every word of their conversation before his accident, but Stephen tries to keep his cool.
Instead, he leads Teddy into the factory, suggesting they can talk inside.
Teddy doesn’t back down and accuses Stephen of doing all that he could to stop him from going to Canada as he knows the evil businessman killed his son to keep Jenny Connor for himself.
He then promises Stephen he will be reporting him to the police… but the villain manages to whack him over the head.
Has Stephen killed again?
Meanwhile, in the Rovers, Elaine confides in her son Tim Metcalfe how she leant Stephen £12k and he’s been growing increasingly distant from her ever since.
Jenny’s ears prick while the cabbie is horrified.
Is the truth finally catching up with Stephen?
Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday on ITV.
