CORONATION Street legend Denise Black has revealed she was rushed to A&E after breaking both her arm and foot following a nasty fall.

The actress, 65, is best known for playing Ken Barlow’s lover Denise Osbourne on the ITV soap between 1992 and 2017.

Denise took to social media to thank the doctors and nurses who helped “mend’ her following the freak accident.

Sharing news of her unfortunate injuries, Denise took to social media to update fans.

Captioning a series of photos, which included some hospital X-Ray scans, the soap legend wrote: “Now I’m mending I can tell you. I broke my wonky arm.

“As I fell I dropped what I was carrying which broke my foot. Know Hoffnung’s Bricklayers joke? Google it. I am that joke.

“Humungous shout out to doctors and nurses far and wide, very especially our beloved NHS.

“You make humans seem like GOOD people. Great news is I’m still filming. Even better news is I’m mending.

“Sure, I may be wonkier than before, but in truth, aren’t all the best people? Inside and out #embraceyourwonkiness #thankyounhs.”

Many rushed to the comments section to wish her a speedy recovery

One wrote: “And you’re still smiling. What a trouper. Wishing you a speedy recovery.”

Another said: “Oh no! Wishing you a miraculous speedy recovery.”

A third added: “Oh Denise! You are a calamity. Bless you. Wishing you a speedy recovery. Lots of love.” 

The actress, who is also well known to soap fans for playing Joanie Dingle in Emmerdale between 2013 – 2017, is currently filming new Disney + TV series Rivals.

Denise will play a character named Joyce Madden in the remake of the classic series.

The show will also star David Tennant, Aidan Turner, Emily Atack and Danny Dyer.
