However, shocking news of someone from her past reaches Coronation Street tonight.

The outspoken and no-nonsense character portrayed by Maureen Lipman is in for a huge shock tonight on ITV.
Recent scenes have shown her clearly struggling to find her place alongside Roy Cropper and Yasmeen Nazir as the Speed Daal co-owner made it her mission to help him recover from his health mishap.
As viewers of the Manchester-based drama will remember, Roy was diagnosed with angina after suffering from severe chest pains.
Evelyn had been there to support but when she made her way to hospital to see him, she was shocked to find Yasmeen was two steps ahead of her and already taking care of him.
But with actress Claire Sweeney making her Corrie debut, Evelyn will soon have more to worry about.
It all begins when Evelyn grumbles to her grandson Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) about Roy spending time with Yasmeen.
Unbeknownst to them, her daughter Cassie watches them closely.
Following Tyrone’s advice, Evelyn steals herself and invites Yasmeen and Roy to join her later at the Bistro.
As Evelyn heads home, she spots Cassie across the street but chooses to ignore her.
On her way to the Bistro, she receives a call which stops her in her tracks.
Roy and Yasmeen wait for Evelyn but she hurries into the A&E reception explaining that her daughter, Cassandra Plummer, has been admitted as an emergency.
How will the family reunion play out?
Will Evelyn tell Tyrone his supposedly dead mother has arrived in the cobbles?
