CORONATION Street’s Amy Barlow will fall victim of a horror drink spiking as she falls for drug dealer Jacob.
The teenager – who is played by actress Elle Mulvaney in the ITV soap – will end up in hospital with her parents Steve and Tracy convinced she has suffered a drugs overdose.
It will kick off a major new storyline as Amy falls for drug dealer Jacob.
A source said: “Amy ends up in a bad way in hospital and Steve and Tracy fear the worst. They’re convinced she is on drugs – but she is adamant she didn’t take them knowingly.
“It soon becomes clear that she’s been the victim of spiking but Steve and Tracy don’t accept it. They are convinced Jacob is leading their daughter astray, and soon the police are investigating.”
