CORONATION Street’s Peter Barlow will violently lash out at his dad Ken as he tries to stop him drinking.

The alcoholic – played by Chris Gascoynein the ITV soap – recently found out that he’s dying of liver failure because of his rocky relationship with booze over the years.

Peter Barlow’s behaviour takes a turn for the worst this week as he lashes out on dad Ken

As viewers of the show will know, Peter has been getting worse and worse since he was told the devastating news that he could possibly die.

He has done a number of things since which have worried his family, including refusing Daniel Osbourne’s offer to be his liver donor if they’re a match.

Peter also wants to be the one who calls all the shots in hospital when things take a turn for the worst, so asked Adam to draw up an ‘Advance Decision to Refuse Treatment’ declaration.

Things don’t seem to be looking up for the pub landlord as he health continues to deteriorate.

Peter hits an all time low this week as he write’s his son Simon a suicide note. 

Carla (Alison King) manages to get her hands on the letter written to the school boy (Alex Bain) and confronts him about it.

Peter reassures her that he doesn’t want to take his own life and that he’s written it out for when he’s not here anymore.

His other half doesn’t believe him and tries to get his dad Ken (William Roache) to knock some sense into him by reading out his words in front of his son.

While Carla struggles to keep Peter in a good head space, Simon escapes to try and get his head around what he’s just heard.

A devastated Simon returns home to tell his grandad what had happened whilst he was out, and Ken couldn’t believe his ears.

He finds his son out on the lash and begs him to stop drinking but Peter’s emotions get the better of him.

Peter uses his fists to show how he’s feeling towards his dad and gives him a big thump in the face… will his actions cause even more of a drift between him and his family?
