Actor Luke Delaney, known for his role as Dave Fairchild on Coronation Street, found himself in the emergency room today after suffering a painful injury. Luke took to social media to share a photo of his bandaged knee as he waited to be seen at Wythenshaw Hospital A&E. It is believed that Luke sustained the injury during training and it may involve a potential MCL/ACL tear.

Launch of Train with Luke

Just weeks before his injury, Luke had announced the launch of his own fitness and personal coaching company called Train with Luke. As a fitness fanatic himself, Luke offers one-on-one coaching services to those who want to improve their fitness and overall well-being.

A Storied Career

Luke Delaney gained fame portraying a police officer in BBC's Peaky Blinders alongside Cillian Murphy. He has also appeared in popular soap operas Hollyoaks and Emmerdale before landing the role of Dave Fairchild on Coronation Street last year.

Appreciation for Coronation Street

When he left Coronation Street, Luke took to Instagram to express his gratitude to the cast and crew for their help and support during his six months of filming. He ended his post by saying, "I’ve said it before but the support I’ve received both inside and outside of the show really has been overwhelming so thank you. Onto the next."

Furthermore, Luke is set to star in a new British film alongside fellow former Coronation Street star Georgia May Foote.
