The actress, who is nominated in the best serial drama performance category, shared her excitement about having a relationship again after the death of her partner two years ago.

A Gift to Have a Relationship Again

In an exclusive interview with the Sunday Express, Dame Maureen expressed her joy about finding love again. She revealed that she will be attending the awards with her partner David, describing it as a "baptism of fire" for him. Despite the nerves, Maureen is focused on finding the perfect dress for the occasion.

A Life of Love and Loss

Maureen Lipman was previously married to playwright Jack Rosenthal until his death in 2004. Rosenthal was known for his work on Corrie, and they had two children together. Looking to the Future

Dame Maureen spoke about her hopes for her new romance, stating that it is a gift for all involved. She expressed gratitude for the kindness her partner has shown her and the opportunity to meet interesting men throughout her life. While uncertain about the future, she is excited to see where the relationship will go.

A Friendly Competition at the NTAs

Aside from her personal life, Maureen Lipman is also competing at the NTAs alongside her Corrie co-star Charlotte Jordan, who plays Daisy Midgeley. When asked about how she would react if she doesn't win, Maureen jokingly commented that it's time for a new face to take the award. She emphasized her professionalism and ability to put on a brave face if someone else's name is announced.
