Maudsley and McGarrigle had formed a close friendship during their time working together on Benidorm. McGarrigle had gone missing in the early hours of Sunday morning, and his friends and family were deeply concerned for his safety. Maudsley reached out to his followers, sharing a photo of McGarrigle and appealing to anyone who may have seen him to contact the Glasgow Police. Sadly, the news of McGarrigle's death came late in the night.
A Talented Actor's Career
Aside from his role in Benidorm, Maudsley has had a successful acting career. He joined the cast of Coronation Street in 2020, playing the character George Shuttleworth. His career began with a role in the film A Life for a Life in 1998, and he has since appeared in various TV shows and films such as Doc Martin, Miss Marple, and Sleepy Hollow. Maudsley also had a role in the Harry Potter film, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.
