HELEN Flanagan has revealed she broke down in front of I’m a Celebrity producers before the show.

The 32-year-old is one of the stars taking part in I’m a Celebrity South Africa, which is set to kick off next week.

Helen has revealed she broke down in tears ahead of her first stint in the jungle

She took part in the 2012 series of I’m a Celebrity

But it’s not the first time actress Helen has done the show as she first took part in the iconic series in 2012.

And the former Coronation Street star insists she’s done a lot of growing up since that jungle stint.

She said: “When I went in the jungle the first time, I didn’t prepare at all. I didn’t have a clue what I had let myself in for and I cried even when my phone got taken off me after landing in Australia.

“I want to make my children proud when I take part this time. I am determined to try harder in the trials.”

Helen came seventh in 2012 but she’s adamant this time around she’ll have a different attitude when taking on the trials.

In a pre-show interview, she added: “I’ve had three children and I’ve gone through three labours! I won’t not finish the trials because my mindset will be very different this time around.”

Helen shares children Matilda, seven, Delilah, four, and two-year-old Charlie with ex Scott Sinclair.

In the pre-recorded South Africa series, Helen is joined by stars including Carol Vorderman and Janice Dickinson.

Last week HOAR revealed how heart to hearts with Carol, 62, led Helen to make her mind when it came to her relationship with footballer Scott.

An insider told us: “Helen was at a crossroads in her relationship when she went into the jungle this time around.

“Carol became a kind of mother figure to the other campmates and Helen found herself opening up to her.

“She told Helen to follow her heart and put her children first. She advised that staying with someone just for the kids never works out. Of course they’ve got the kids and a huge history only time will tell if it’s over for good.”
