EASTENDERS stalwart Adam Woodyatt has thrilled fans after reuniting with Nasty Nick and Punk Mary.
Adam, who plays hapless Ian Beale in the BBC One soap, caught up with his former co-stars after they went to watch him in a theatre show.
The actor is currently starring in Peter James’ Looking Dead Good alongside his former EastEnders wife Laurie Brett – aka Jane Beale.
And John Altman (Nick Cotton) and Linda Davidson (Punk Mary) were in the audience at Bromley’s Churchill Theatre to cheer them both on.
Once the show was done, Adam joined John and Linda for a reunion snap.
He then posted it on Instagram, writing: “We don’t see each other very often but when we do it’s 1985 again.”

Fans have gone wild for the picture, with one gushing: “How fabulous! I watched the first ever episode again the other day…
“Such fantastic memories and some truly epic storylines.”
Another said: “Gosh what a fantastic snap and thank you for sharing!”
And a third even wrote: “Sat next to them at Churchill theatre last night – quite surreal sitting next to Nasty Nick Cotton and Mary whilst watching Ian and Jane Beale. Great show though!”
Adam and John were first to join the cast of EastEnders when the BBC One soap launched in February 1985.
Linda was then brought in as Mary Smith – aka Punk Mary – a few months later.
Adam currently holds the record for being the longest serving cast member in Walford.
However, in August 2020, he announced he would be taking an extended break.
Adam went on to appear in last year’s series of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!. His current theatre stint is set to run until October this year.
Adam is yet to confirm a return date for his character but, during an appearance on The One Show in May 2021, he said it would be “2022 at the earliest”.
John, meanwhile, played Nasty Nick on and off from 1985 to 2015. His character has now been killed off.
Canadian-British actress Linda took on the role of Punk Mary between 1985 and 1988.
