EASTENDERS’ Christmas Day episode is going to see Phil and Sharon Mitchell go head to head over her affair with Keanu Taylor in explosive scenes.
The Mitchell hardman – who is played by Steve McFadden in the BBC soap – is going to explode with fury at his wife after discovering she cheated on him with Keanu and her baby isn’t his own.
With the help of his son Ben, Phil discovers what really went on and puts a vicious revenge plan into action that will rip more than one family apart – and leave Sharon and Keanu’s lives in tatters.
But while Phil will let his rage free, pregnant Sharon won’t just sit back and take it – she’s going to fight back in dramatic scenes.
Soap legend Letitia Dean said: “The scenes are so tense, all Ill say is that its EastEnders at Christmas so its very dramatic – Phil is at his angriest and we see the fighter in Sharon, it was a fantastic dynamic to play.”
She also revealed that there’s nothing Sharon won’t do to protect her baby – and even Keanu from Phil’s wrath.
The actress added: “Sharons already gone to great lengths to protect her secret; she kidnapped Keanu, she chased Mel to the airport, and shes lied to everyone around here.
“If she was pushed even further, I dont think theres anything she wouldnt do to protect herself, her baby and even Keanu.”
As for how the secret is revealed she was tight-lipped, but HOAR Online can confirm Phil discovers it before Christmas and keeps it to himself until the family lunch.
She added: “Well, Sharon has no idea that Phil knows, shes been slaving away getting everything ready for Christmas dinner. Then, from nowhere Phil confronts her.
“Obviously, Phil explodes and all hell breaks loose at No. 55, Sharon finds herself with nowhere to hide. I dont want to spoil anything, but there are some twists and turns that Sharon definitely didnt see coming and neither did I (laughs).”
