EastEnders fans are left scratching their heads as two main characters seem to have vanished following the shocking Christmas Day murder. On December 25, viewers watched in disbelief as Linda Carter stabbed Keanu Taylor in the back while he was attacking Sharon Watts in the Queen Vic. This dramatic moment finally put an end to months of speculation about the identities of the killer and victim in the highly anticipated murder plot.

A Mystery Unfolds

The brutal scene was witnessed by Stacey Slater, Suki Kaur Panesar, Denise Fox, and Kathy Beale. The six women joined forces to dispose of the body and cover up the crime. Several male characters, including Nish Panesar, Jack Branning, Phil Mitchell, Tom 'Rocky' Cotton, Dean Wicks, and Ravi Gulati, were all in the potential line-up to be killed. However, it seems they were all spared, with the exception of Rocky, who showed up at the pub drunk shortly after the chaos unfolded.

Where Are Phil and Jack?

Many viewers have been left puzzled by the absence of two specific characters: Phil and Jack. One fan wrote on X, "Things I've noticed: Jack and Phil have been completely AWOL since Christmas Day." Another fan posted, "I don’t understand why Jack & Phil featured in the promo pictures leading up to the Christmas Day episode? They were nowhere near any of it!" A third fan speculated, "I've heard that Steve McFadden (Phil) is meant to be in Panto at the moment – that could explain the lack of screen time in the aftermath of Christmas Day. We haven't seen Jack at all since Christmas Day, and I'm shocked about the lack of Sharon scenes too."

Coming Soon: Phil's Return and a Familiar Face

Fans need not worry too much, as Phil will soon make his return alongside a legendary actor. Hollywood star Alan Ford will join the cast as Stevie Mitchell, the estranged father of Billy Mitchell. Ford is set to make his debut in the coming weeks, where he is expected to come face-to-face with his long-lost relatives at Aunt Sal's funeral.
